Older Adults Coalition of Chestermere (OACC)

Chestermere, AB

We want to hear from the older adults and our vast partnerships in order to try and satisfy what is required for older adults in the City of Chestermere in order to age in place. This includes fostering collaboration with Municipal and Provincial Governments as well as others with an interest in the needs of older adults.

Our vision is to be a community that offers older adults and residents in Chestermere and surrounding areas the abililty to engage actively and have a collective voice represented in the community.

The mission of OACC is that collectively our voice will create an awareness and be informative, be inclusive and collaborative and grow a lifestyle for all older adults.  As a group of volunteers we are action-oriented and will respectfully engage and educate our community. To help us in our mission the Coalition contributes a column in the Chestermere Anchor News Magazine and a radio segment with CFTR The Rogue – Chestermere Radio.

We are committed to being a respectful and collective voice of the older adult community in Chestermere and surrounding areas.   Members are invited to attend Meetings and will receive Agendas and Meeting Minutes. We are an inclusive membership ensuring a broad representation of all   cultures, ages, caregivers and agencies.   Members either reside or work within the geographical boundaries of Chestermere and surrounding areas.
