YELL Youth Council (Ages 13+)
Youth Council is for youth who want to engage in a formal, resume-building, leadership program. Youth Council now incorporates the City of Calgary LEAD curriculum to add recognition to all the work the teens do throughout the year. Teens can earn a LEAD certificate that is recognized in and around Calgary, as well as on post-secondary and scholarship applications. Youth on the council show consistent attendance to meetings and use the time to develop projects and organize volunteer opportunities and events. Youth may sit on the council year-round or choose to attend over the course of a specific project they are particularly invested in.

Business Review
“I am not sure it is easily expressed how Synergy has impacted my family. Synergy provides my son with a place where he can be his own person without judgments. The leaders and older youth provide guidance so my son can make a better decision about things. I also find myself enjoying the positive interaction with the youth of our community! Seeing so many caring young people renews my hope for a better tomorrow! Thank you Synergy for all that you are and do!”
