At the beginning of the school year, we like to read the story 'Too Much Glue' by Jason Lefebvre. In the story; Matty uses too much glue and ends up getting stuck to his art project! So his art teacher reminds the class "glue raindrops, not puddles!" We love this book to help our students practice using a small dot of liquid glue.
For this activity, we first added some paint to our white glue to tint it. Then each student practised making 'raindrops' on their paper (click here to print your free copy). Using the glue bottles helps strengthen little hand muscles and develops hand-eye coordination while practising using art tools appropriately.
