What IS the Imagination Library?
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that delivers free, high-quality books to children from birth until they begin school, no matter their family’s income. One age-appropriate book from the Imagination Library book list is mailed every month to each participating child at their home. Through the program, Dolly, who was inspired by her father who was unable to read and write, seeks to empower young children to love reading. The Imagination Library has gifted 167 million books since its inception to children around the world. How do I Register?
Registration is open to all children in Chestermere between the ages of birth to five years. You may easily register your child(ren) online. Please note: due to processing times, it does take at least a month before your first book will arrive.
Donations are required
The Imagination Library of Chestermere relies on donors and grants to continue providing books for registered children.
For only $47.00, you will provide a child with free, age-appropriate books for an entire year. To donate, please click here.
The Imagination Library of Chestermere estimates that there are approximately 2,500 children under the age of five, and has set a goal to register 60% of those children over the next five years. It is our goal to create a significant endowment fund through fundraising and sponsorships to ensure ALL children under the age of five receive a free book every year.
