RULES & REGULATIONS
Eligibility
- ONLY open to elementary students in the Rocky View School Division No. 41 currently in kindergarten to grade 8
- All entries must be submitted by July 5, 2021 to: Ashley Meagher ameagher@rvschools.ab.ca
- Please note: Late submissions cannot be accepted.
- Artwork MUST be accompanied by completed entry and permission forms.
- Content of the artwork must be:
- Appropriate for all audiences (G) as artwork may be displayed in the community
- Participants may submit only one entry
- Artwork should include a message that encourages individuals to:
- Reduce the stigma that surrounds mental illness
- Take steps towards maintaining mental health
- Supporting others
- Symbolize mental health and wellbeing
- Artwork must be either an original painting or drawing, containing NO reflective material (example tinfoil, glass as this cannot be copied well)
- Artwork cannot exceed the size of a 11x17 poster
- Artwork MUST be an original student-designed piece
- Artwork will be publicly displayed the week of July 12-July 19 2021
- Winning artwork will be shared publicly. This may include Rocky View Schools, Alberta Health Services and MHCB, Stepping Stones to Mental Health social media pages
Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Originality
- How well does the student represent mental health and stigma reduction?
- Overall response to the original artwork
