Did your business have to close during the last four months?
Yes.
How did you maintain engagement with the community (social media, e-newsletter, giveaways, etc.) during the time you have been closed?
Social Media mainly. I also organized a giveaway for Mother's Day with 22 other Mompreneur businesses in Chestermere worth $2276 to help promote small local business and increase each businesses social media reach while we were closed.
Based on the province's stages of re-opening, when did you reopen or when are you hoping to reopen?
My official reopen date will be June 19. Although it was announced today that Phase 2 will reopen sooner, I'm unable to do so as my childcare options are limited during school hours.
What, if any, adjustments will you have to make to your business as you reopen?
I have renovated the entire space, including new flooring that is easier to sanitize, new paint and décor and more features to maintain a safe and sanitary space. I will extend each appointment time to allow for all client areas to be thoroughly cleaned between each client, as well as require precautionary hygiene practices from each client upon arrival, including a health screen. I have opened an online booking system for client convenience. I have implemented a loyalty program where clients can earn free maintenance appointments. I have changed my marketing on my website and social media to be intentionally inclusive of all skin types, body types, and genders. I have implemented email marketing to highlight promotions, contests and business updates.
