Happy Easter Macaroni Families,
And it WILL be a happy Easter. The weather looks good, I've set up a "Virtual Cocktail Party" with some of my extended family and I don't have to cook a big fancy meal. Find the happy in the little things, right?
But, let's be honest. We're tired. We're overwhelmed. We're OVER IT. I know for sure that I was never meant to homeschool. And, certainly, what I'm doing at home with my little noodles is a far stretch from real homeschooling. This new normal bombards us every day, from every angle, with new online learning ideas, webcams, live tours, colouring sheets, virtual storytimes, window painting, quarantine schedules - you name it and it's appeared in your email and on your social media feeds.
I'm hoping Macaroni Kid can ease some of that for you by becoming a one-stop-shop for all of the above, and more. The online calendar is full of virtual events and activities. The thumbs up ๐ icon on the calendar indicates a local(ish) event from a local(ish) business - Chestermere, Langdon, Strathmore or Calgary. If you see an event that you think would be a great addition to the calendar please feel free to tag me, Online Event Submission or submit the event online.
I'm constantly updating the Online Resources guide and Virtual Fieldtrips & Webcam article, so please check those often. I've gone through ALL the crafts I've shared over the last 5+ years and tagged them to make the search function on the website a bit easier. The COVID-19 is an ever-evolving situation, and I hope to continue to evolve Macaroni Kid with it to help local parents.
