Macaroni Minute (03.19.2020)

March 19, 2020

Hello Macaroni Families,

As we move into our new (temporary) normal, you'll notice that the calendar is now full of socially distanced family fun events and activities. I've also been talking to several local businesses and organizations about creating more local online events for families. Like you, I am tired. My brain hasn't stopped spinning for days now and if I sit still too long, I get sad. And a little mad at myself for reading three horror books about a virus in society last month. Dumb idea.

I'm hoping that Macaroni Kid will still be your one-stop-shop to help you entertain, educate and exhaust your kids. I am busy filling the site with activities, virtual tours, easy crafts and recipes for you. It's exhausting to search your Facebook feed every day looking for at-home school schedules, lesson plans and brilliant new crafts. You may search the website using the search function at the top of the page with key words like: Crafts, Recipes, DYI, Online.  If you come across an event that isn't on the calendar, please send it my way: kimmcrae@macaronikid.com.

This is new to me as well and I am adding more and more information to the site as I navigate this.

Helping you find your family fun,

Kim Soderberg McRae

Macaroni Kid Chestermere is a free weekly newsletter and website focused on fun family events and information in the Chestermere, Langdon and surrounding areas. We gather together all kinds of local family events and activities each week, and add useful information about classes, family-focused businesses, book and product reviews, recipes, crafts, school and camp guides and more.

Our event calendar is available 24/7, so anytime you think, "What should we do today?", we want it to be your go-to resource. Know of an upcoming event I've missed? Events can be submitted HERE or via email at kimmcrae@macaronikid.com.

Please always remember to tell businesses/event hosts that you heard about their event on Macaroni Kid! Your readership and support help us to bring you this free newsletter and website.
