By Kim Soderberg McRae May 19, 2016

The Chestermere Country Fair booklet has been printed and is currently being distributed to local schools and locations like the Chestermere library, Chestermere City Hall, Waiting Room Cafe and others. If you can't wait to get your hands on a copy, it's also available online.

There are some fantastic categories in this year's Red Ribbon Contest for children of all ages to enter (and maybe win a prize!).

The Red Ribbon Contest is held during the Chestermere Country Fair on September 9th and 10th. All entries must be delivered to the Chestermere Recreation Centre on Friday, September 9th. Judging takes place that evening and all entries (and their winning ribbons) are available for public viewing on Saturday, September 10th.

From preschool to grade 12 there something for everyone of all interest levels from lego-building to colouring and flower arranging. Have a little baker? Get them to whip up their favourite batch of chocolate chip cookies. There's even a new category for Fairy Gardens this year.

Here's just a few of the categories children can enter:

  • Colouring
  • Macaroni Art
  • Largest Pumpkin
  • Largest Sunflower head
